Tamilee Webb Site Launch

November 30th, 2008 by Silverback Strategies

With over $10 million in video sales, countless television appearances and an international fan base, Tamilee Webb is often regarding as the country’s leading authority on aerobic fitness and overall health.  Tamilee initially approached Silverback to develop and execute a searchengine marketing campaign on the Google Adwords platform.  Within the second month of managing Tamilee’s online marketing campaign, we had broken all previous records for monthly video sales.  Although we were pleased with the results, our reporting data suggested there was still a large number of potential buyers we could capture with a website redesign.  Over the next 60 days we worked very closely with Tamilee to create a new, vibrant, aesthetically pleasing design with a focus on online conversions.

Although it’s still early too early to gauge just how many more sales our website redesign will generate, her fans initial response should be a great indication:  Tamilee Webb Blog

Top 10 Rank Instantly!

Anyone who’s ever owned a site I’m sure has aspired to have it be in the Top 10 Rank. Now’s your chance to have your very own site show up in the top 10 listings, instantly. There’s been so much buzz about Search Engine Optimization and Online Marketing these days that it has totally created a new market. Everyone from the local deli down the street to large corporations have been trying to optimize their sites to get a top 10 rank listing. So why is it so important to rank? Why do people care so much about having their sites viewed by random people who are searching online? Well it’s simple really, being on the top 10 rank for search engines means that you have a complete command for a specific search/ keyword. If you show up in the top 10 section for natural listings on any search engine, especially for Google, it just goes to show that your site is so much better than any other site that is placed behind yours. If somebody is not on the first page, basically it’s “Good luck Buddy! Nobody’s gonna click on the 2nd search page!” Even worse if your site doesn’t show up at all. The Top 10 Rank Placement is like winning the lottery, it’s like your first kiss, it’s like eating your seconded favorite dish stuffed in your ultimate favorite dish…..yeah it’s that GOOD!

So with all the hype, Google completely does a 180 and lets you have full control of your destiny. Now’s your chance to see your site in the Top 10 Rank for searches.  You don’t have to deal with those crazy PPC Managers, heck you don’t have to deal with those know it all SEO geniuses.  Now’s your opportunity to see the fruits of your labor.  Finally …that WOW Factor, the AHA moment and you’ll have full control to get your site ranked on Google!  And guess what?  We’re about to tell you the secrets to get it ranked…absolutely FREE!  If you have a Google account, you’ll have the opportunity to move your site up, delete sites that you don’t find relevant to your specific search.

Instant Top 10 Rank with a click of a button.  First here’s what you’ll need:

1.      A Computer - if you don’t have one, either borrow someone else’s or wait till you have a computer available (Shame on you, how can you have a site and not have a computer?)
2.      A Mouse – For Clicking Things
3.      An Internet Connection – If you’re having trouble acquiring a connection, then steal one….just kidding, don’t do that!
4.      A Google Account -This is very important because you’ll need it for searching stuff.
5.      And finally a sword – In case Pirates show up.  Never mind, actually you don’t need a sword.
That’s pretty much it for what you’ll need in order for Top 10 Ranking.

So how does using the above tools minus the sword of course, help get your site to rank instantly for Google - in front your very own eyes?  Well here’s an article from The Wall Street Journal that tells you what you’ll need to do:  Google Tool Lets Users Edit Search

Holiday Marketing, tis the season to start getting your site ready.

November 19th, 2008 by Silverback Strategies

Holiday Marketing:

With the biggest shopping days ahead, isn’t it time to get your site ready for the holidays?  Granted that the economy’s been a rollercoaster ride over the last few months, it doesn’t mean to say that you can’t start targeting new leads.  If you’re feeling the pinch, then maybe it’s time to advertise wisely without breaking the bank. Here are some helpful tips to promote your business.  And best of all it’s FREE!

Holiday Marketing Tips:

1.  Take Advantage of Social Networking Sites - if your business isn’t on Myspace, Facebook, etc., make sure that you go ahead and create a profile to promote your business.  Depending on your target audience, a well placed social networking campaign can generate lots of “new friends” for your business, product or service.  Just remember to keep it targeted.  If you sell watches, make sure that it relates to your audience (Age Group, Gender…etc.).  Even if they don’t buy a product or utilize your services, having a large group people as part of your circle of online friends could still be beneficial; some examples might be, group feedbacks (instant focus group), think tanks for new ideas and also networking.

2.  Partner Up with Other Businesses - Build a relationship with other businesses around your area or from around the net.  If you and your potential new business friend have complementary products or services, tell them that you will do a write up about them as well as placing a link on your site.  This is basically free advertising for them, just make sure that they return the favor.

3.  It’s better to give than to receive -  When it comes to Holiday Marketing, tis’ the season to give back.  Make sure to help out individuals less fortunate than you: Host some charity events, do a toy drive, collect canned goods for the needy, etc.  Whatever campaign you decide on, make sure that you’re also visible.  Your visibility enhances your brand, and the more that people see you in a positive light, the more likely they’ll do business with you.  If you are constantly visible for doing good deeds then you’re also more likely to have people support your cause.  Just remember to announce it and have a link back to your site!  So do a press release, tell local papers, blog about it…the sky’s the limit.  Just make sure that you’re not doing it entirely for the sake of marketing but do it because you really want to help!

Just remember that it doesn’t take millions of dollars for a major ad campaign to take your site to the next level, it’s all about pupularity!  Currently it’s been getting around 4 Million Visitors per Day!

Yahoo!? or more like Boohoo!

November 19th, 2008 by Silverback Strategies

I guess Yahoo’s very own Jerry Yang isn’t yelling “Yahoo!” as of late.  Jerry Yang will be stepping down as Yahoo’s CEO and once a replacement is found.

After Co-Founding and helping build Yahoo into one of the largest Internet companies, Yang has had a backlash from Yahoo shareholders after the failed $47 Billion takeover from Microsoft.
